Scott Elrod

Scott Elrod

as Cory Brand

Baseball star Cory Brand is driven by ambition and haunted by painful memories. But when one reckless moment leaves his career in the balance, he must face everything he left behind—and forge a new path home.

Raised in an American military family, Scott Elrod was born in Bitburg, Germany, and spent time in the Philippines and other locations before his family settled in Colorado. As a boy, he dreamed of becoming an F-16 pilot like his father. Seeing Tom Cruise’s performance in Top Gun made him even more determined to achieve his dream … while also planting an acting bug that would resurface years later. After graduating from Metro State College, Elrod attained his pilot’s license and spent six years in the Air Force as an air-traffic controller. He then transitioned into the corporate world and found success in marketing and technology. But despite his thriving career, he couldn’t erase the memory of Top Gun. So, he relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 and began taking acting classes six days a week until his hard work paid off—first with small parts on series like CSI: New York and Days of Our Lives, then with his breakout role as Leonard “Cash” Morrissey in the ABC series Men in Trees.
